Looking for a fun and creative activity this Christmas season?

Join MixMatched Creations for our Christmas Art Classes, where kids, teens, adults, and families can explore different crafting techniques while creating beautiful handmade Christmas decorations and gifts!

You don’t have to sign up for the entire program! Each class is offered individually, so you can pick and choose the projects that interest you most.

Want to try string art but not painting? No problem! Love all five projects? You’re welcome to register for every class!

Each class introduces a different craft, giving students the opportunity to learn something new, get creative, and take home their finished artwork.

Every class includes:

• 🎄 A completed Christmas project to take home
• ❤️ Beginner-friendly instruction with opportunities for creativity
• 🎁 Handmade decorations that also make wonderful Christmas gifts

 

🎄 Available Christmas Art Classes

🧵 November 12 – Christmas String Art

Learn the art of string art while creating your own festive Christmas decoration!

Students will use a wooden board, nails, and colorful string to create their Christmas artwork. They’ll learn how to hammer nails, follow a design, and carefully wrap and layer string to bring their project to life.

Choose between:

🎄 Christmas Tree – Beginner
💚 Grinch – More Advanced

The Christmas tree is perfect for beginners, while the Grinch offers a more detailed challenge for students who want to try something more advanced.

🔨 Important Information for Parents:

There are no age restrictions for this class! Participation is at the parent’s discretion.

Because this project involves using a hammer to put nails into a wooden board, children should either be old enough to safely use a hammer independently or have a parent present to assist them.

Parents are encouraged to join their child for this class if they need help using the hammer.

🎨 November 19 – Christmas Ornaments (Set of 2)

Create your own set of two beautiful handmade Christmas ornaments!

Students will explore painting, color selection, detailing, and finishing techniques as they create two festive ornaments.

This class is perfect for anyone who loves Christmas decorating or wants to create meaningful handmade gifts!

Hang them on your own Christmas tree or give them to someone special.

Each student will create TWO ornaments to take home!

All supplies included!

 

🦃 November 26 – NO CLASS!

Happy Thanksgiving!

There will be no class on November 26 so everyone can enjoy the holiday with their families.

 

⛄ December 3 – Snowman Wine Bottle Decoration

Turn an ordinary wine bottle into an adorable Christmas snowman!

Students will learn how to transform a recycled glass bottle into a festive winter decoration using paint and creative detailing techniques.

We’ll explore painting on glass, layering colors, and adding fun finishing touches to bring our snowmen to life.

This class is a wonderful way to learn how everyday materials can be repurposed into beautiful handmade decorations!

Take home a snowman that’s perfect for displaying throughout the winter season or giving as a Christmas gift.

All supplies included!

 

🎨 December 10 – Christmas Painting on Slate

Try something different by painting on natural slate instead of a traditional canvas!

Students will create their own festive Christmas artwork while learning how to paint on a textured natural surface.

We’ll explore brush techniques, color layering, detailing, and how to use the slate’s natural texture to enhance the artwork.

Each finished piece will have its own unique rustic appearance, making it a beautiful Christmas decoration or handmade gift.

All supplies included!

 

✨ December 17 – Faux Stained-Glass Christmas Art

Learn how to create the beautiful appearance of stained glass without using traditional stained-glass materials!

Students will explore outlining, color placement, and painting techniques to create a stunning stained-glass-inspired Christmas decoration.

Choose between:

🎄 Christmas Tree – Beginner
❤️ Christmas Cardinal – Advanced

The Christmas tree is perfect for students trying this technique for the first time, while the cardinal offers a more detailed design for those looking for a challenge.

This is a great opportunity to learn a completely different art technique and create a beautiful decoration you can display year after year!

All supplies included!

 

👨‍👩‍👧 No Age Restrictions – Everyone Is Welcome!

Our Christmas Art Classes are open to kids, teens, adults, and families of all ages!

There are no specific age requirements. Parents can decide whether a class is appropriate for their child based on their abilities and comfort level.

Some projects offer beginner and advanced options, allowing students to choose a design that best matches their skill level.

Parents are welcome to stay and help younger children who may need additional assistance.

Please note: Our November 12 string art class involves using a hammer and nails. Children who cannot safely use a hammer independently should have a parent present to assist them.

No previous art or crafting experience is necessary!
