Welcome!
Welcome to the MixMatched Creations Fall Art Class! This creative arts program is designed for artists of all ages and skill levels. Whether you’re picking up a paintbrush for the first time or looking to expand your artistic abilities, each class offers a fun, welcoming environment where creativity can flourish.
Throughout the program, students will explore painting, sculpting, and mixed-media art while creating beautiful handmade seasonal décor they’ll be proud to display at home.
Our program focuses on helping students build:
✔ Creativity
✔ Confidence
✔ Following step-by-step instruction
✔ Understanding color, composition, and design
✔ Painting, blending, shading, and highlighting techniques
✔ Exploring a variety of artistic materials and surfaces
Each class includes guided instruction, hands-on learning, and plenty of encouragement from instructor Jess Rothstein and a classroom helper.
Students will explore a variety of artistic techniques while creating projects on wood, slate, glass, terracotta, and polymer clay. Every class introduces new skills that build confidence while encouraging creativity and individual artistic expression.
🎨 Skill-Based Class Placement
Our art program uses a skill-based placement system instead of strict age groups.
Artistic ability develops differently for every person. Some younger students may be ready for more advanced techniques, while some older students may benefit from strengthening foundational skills.
Placement is determined through collaboration between the instructor and parents, considering:
• Current artistic skill level
• Ability to follow multi-step directions
• Attention span during longer projects
• Comfort using a variety of art materials
This approach allows every student to learn in an environment where they feel confident, supported, and successful while continuing to develop new artistic skills.
👨👩👧 A Class for the Whole Family
Because we’ve removed age restrictions, parents are welcome to stay and assist their child during class if they feel extra support would be helpful.
Looking for a fun activity to enjoy together? Adults are also welcome to register and participate! Whether you’re creating alongside your child, grandchild, friend, or simply looking for a relaxing creative evening, we’d love to have you join us.

Kick off the fall season by painting a beautiful wooden hanging pumpkin! Students will learn how to use blended colors, highlights, and shadows to create the illusion of depth, making a flat wooden pumpkin appear rounded and three-dimensional.
