MixMatched Creations Art Program Policies
🎨 MixMatched Creations Art Program Policies
To ensure a smooth, safe, and enjoyable experience for all students and families, please review the following policies for the MixMatched Creations Art Program.
By registering for the program, families acknowledge that they have read and agree to the policies outlined below.
📝 Registration & Payment
All classes must be registered and paid for in full before the program begins in order to reserve your child’s seat.
Because class sizes are small and materials are purchased in advance, spots cannot be held without payment.
Registration and payment are completed through the website.
Facebook Subscription Option
The MixMatched Creations program includes access to a Facebook painting subscription, which provides weekly tutorials, monthly live paint sessions, and access to the online learning community.
Because Facebook does not allow subscriptions to be provided for free, families enrolled in the program receive $15 off their class registration to help cover the subscription cost.
If a family chooses not to participate in the Facebook subscription, the class price will be $150 for the 6-week program.
💳 Refund Policy
To secure your child’s spot and prepare materials in advance, all registrations are:
🔥 Nonrefundable
Materials are purchased ahead of time and class sizes are limited, which makes refunds difficult once a seat has been reserved.
🔁 Class Transfer Policy
If a family is unable to attend, they may transfer their child’s spot to another student, provided the following requirements are met:
• The instructor must be notified and approve the transfer in advance
• The new student must complete registration and all required paperwork, including the liability waiver
• The transfer must take place before the program session begins
Once the program has started, class transfers are no longer permitted.
⭐ Special Circumstances Policy
MixMatched Creations understands that unexpected situations may occasionally arise.
While registrations are nonrefundable, families may transfer their child’s seat to another student before the program begins, provided the new student completes registration and all required paperwork.
In certain rare situations where a transfer is not possible, the instructor may offer a one-time class credit for a future session. Examples may include:
• Extended medical illness
• Emergency family situations
• Severe weather events causing multiple cancellations
• Other circumstances deemed appropriate by the instructor
Credits are not guaranteed and are issued solely at the instructor’s discretion. If granted, they may only be applied to a future class session and cannot be exchanged for a refund.
❄️ Snow Day & Weather Policy
If the church closes due to snow or unsafe road conditions, parents will be notified immediately by email and/or text.
Because the program includes a Facebook subscription with live video capabilities, classes may be moved online for that day so students can still participate and the program can stay on schedule.
This allows students to continue learning and painting without the program falling behind due to weather.
📱 Communication & Updates
Before each class session begins, families will be added to a group text message to help keep communication simple and efficient.
This group text will be used for:
• Important class reminders
• Weather or schedule updates
• Important announcements
• Helpful information related to the program
This helps ensure families stay informed and up to date throughout the session.
🧑🎨 Missed Class Policy
Because each week introduces new techniques and builds on previous lessons, regular attendance is encouraged. However, we understand that schedules can be busy and unexpected situations may come up.
To help students stay on track, MixMatched Creations offers an online Facebook painting subscription where weekly lessons are also posted.
If a student is unable to attend class, they can follow along with the lesson online and complete the painting at home.
Students are welcome to bring their completed artwork to the final showcase at the end of the program.
For students completing the lesson at home:
• The canvas size used in class can be provided so the project format matches
• Paint and classroom supplies remain in the classroom and are not sent home
• Families may use their own materials at home
• A recommended supply list with links is available on the website
Missed classes are not eligible for refunds or credits.
👨👩👧 Parent Waiting Area & Nursery
Parents are always welcome to stay during class if they prefer not to leave.
The classroom space has tables and chairs available, so parents can sit comfortably and observe or relax while the class is in session.
For families with younger children, the church also has a nursery area that siblings are welcome to use while waiting.
Please note that the nursery is not supervised during art class. Parents who choose to use the nursery must remain responsible for supervising their children at all times.
Families are kindly asked to help keep the nursery and waiting areas clean and tidy out of respect for the church and shared space.
🎨 Class Minimum Enrollment Policy
Classes require a minimum of 8 students in order to run.
If a class does not reach the minimum enrollment:
• Families may transfer to another available class time if space allows
• If another class time does not work, a full refund will be issued
Families will be notified prior to the start of the session if adjustments are necessary.

❤️ Community Support
We are incredibly grateful to the church for welcoming our art program and supporting the growth of these classes.
The church hosts a community food pantry on the fourth Saturday of each month, helping families in need within our community.
Families who would like to participate are invited to bring a small food donation to class whenever possible.
Donations are completely optional, but they are a wonderful way for our students and families to practice kindness, generosity, and community support.
